Customizing snipe gallery to look and feel like your own site is very easy.  All of the main layout is handled by way of an external CSS file and PHP headers and footers.

To change the color scheme, simply edit the color variables within the /layout/style.css file.  Simple as that.

To perform more complex customizations to include your site navigation, logos, and everything else that makes your website yours, simply edit the header.php and footer.php to include your own layout.

NOTE: Currently, the only way to integrate snipe gallery into Joomla is to use the wrapper module.  We admit that this is less than elegant, since it uses an IFRAME, and therefore you cannot link directly to a specific image, gallery, or search results.  We are considering building a Mambo component version of snipe gallery, but we're waiting to make sure all of the bugs have been hammered out with the current version befopre we go down that road.

The only reason we haven't addressed Mambo sooner is simply because many Mambo components that are adaptations of existing software feel like half-assed versions - mere shadows of the original software - and we do not want that to happen to snipe gallery,  Additionally, we are concerned with our ability to maintain a mambo version of snipe gallery, since Mambo is third party software, and they don't exactly confer with us when they are ready to change something. :)

That said, if you have worked on Mambo components before and wish to help, please let us know.  We're open to discussion.
